Reference and Troubleshooting

Lookup tables, glossary, FAQ, performance and crash fixes, licensing problems, and learning resources for Fusion.

Reference and Troubleshooting#

This section holds the lookup material and fixes you will return to. The reference pages are a commands index, a glossary, a FAQ, keyboard shortcuts by workspace, marking menu and customization, learning resources, and what's new and version history.

The troubleshooting pages cover performance tuning, crashes and cache clearing, sign-in, licensing and sync problems, and timeline and feature failure recipes. A personal use versus paid comparison covers documented limits. It is for all levels, and is best used for lookup rather than read in order.

Before you start#

The hardware figures on the performance page are general industry guidance, not Autodesk data. Autodesk documents the cache reset through the built-in Service Utility (Help > Support and Diagnostics > Service Utility). On macOS, Ctrl becomes Command and Alt becomes Option for most system shortcuts, but not all.

Confirmed vs not confirmed#

Not confirmed in Autodesk's documentation: several personal-use details (such as which workspaces are paid-only), manual deletion of cache folders, customizing Design-workspace shortcuts or toolbars, modifier-click behavior, update frequency and rollback, and the dates of earlier milestones.
